A few notes about the pics Rob posted. The '57 B/Gasser is a local legend by the name of "Shake, Rattle, and Run". From the time sheet, it looks like the '61 B S/S Pontiac ran the best time of all! The Plymouth that ran into the guard rail is about to go thru the doorway at the end of the track.

Very cool stuff Mike!
  I saw Shake Rattle & Run at Super Chevy this past summer. It was all restored and the guy said it was the real car

I don't think he was looking in the right direction at the time the picture was taking.I can only imagine a split second later.
