[/ QUOTE ] Unless the new car buyer opted to replace the standard hubcaps (as delivered from the factory) with optional full wheelcovers at the dealership during purchase. Dealers were supposed to paint the wheels black in such cases but they often just put the optional wheelcovers on and were done with it. I think someone on this site told me that.
