| Ebay Auctions - Yenko & Baldwin Motion Model Cars

Ok, I've never been one to pimp my own auctions on our beloved site here, but here are a few that are SuperCar related. (model cars). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESE:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESE:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESE:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESE:IT

Those big MPC meats look good on the back of the black "Motion" '69 Camaro. The red Yenko Nova looks like the Kevin Suydam car. Maybe you should forward the auction to him? Nice models! x 100 |

Thanks. Yeah that is the Nova Kevin owns now. Not sure what year he aquired it but I built the model back in 1990. I've had 'em a long time. I've got a couple more I'm going to touch up before I sell them as they are just as old and have a few more battle wounds and one or two that I didn't detail as well back then. I've got no clue which kit I got the hubcaps from but they were the closest thing I could find to the 69 hubcaps back then. Nowadays there are companies that offer Resin parts and make the exact hubcaps. Modelhaus is one of em. http://www.modelhaus.com/parts.cfm ...I could've replaced the hubcaps on the Nova with more correct ones but I decided to leave it as I built it..

[ QUOTE ] 55-- where did you get the dog dish caps? [/ QUOTE ] I'd bet a buck that those are the caps that came with the AMT '51 Chevy convert and fastback kits from 25 years ago. They are flat and have a Bowtie. They were not correct for the '51 nor anything else--maybe a '75 Nova. I remember buying the '51 convert when it came out (1978?) and building it. I remember those caps being 'wrong' for a '51 but I used them anyway. |

You might be right. They were the only Chevy dog dish type caps that I can remember seeing back then. My choice was pretty limited so I used them. Doesn't look bad but my next one will have the correct style caps on it now that they're available.
