Good question Don. I tend to agree with Sam. Seems the Chevelles and Novas got the Muncie 'bolt to the cross member shifters' thru 1972.
BTW...I enjoyed seeing your Blue Beast at the Forge Muscle Car show last weekend. First time I've ever seen a 69 300 Deluxe with a 396. Really cool!  Put the original bench seat shifter handle in it. It will add to the overall appeal of the car. I may have one if your in need. In any case, enjoy your 'special' car!
