My first new car was a "Smokey & the Bandit" T/A (1977 Black w/Gold trim) with the 6.6. Not the same as what you have but I certainly enjoyed the car none-the-less. Was really cool taking my ex-wife (girlfriend) at the time to see the movie (as stupid as it was). We must have seen it five or six times, then would come out of the show and try to wade through the crowd all around my car in the parking lot. I had a friend that was a "wrench" at the local Pontiac garage back then and he had a 1973 SD455 T/A that he bought new just like yours. Red in color. It was a very cool car. Haven't seen him in years, wonder if he still has it?
