Had a rep in today that grew up near Yenko. I asked him if he knew of anyone that had a car from Yenko Chevrolet, to which he raised his hand. Asked him what he had had. His reply was both a '68 Z/28, cross ram, 4-wheel disc
(actually thought discs weren't avail) and he traded that in on a '69 Z/28 that too was cross rammed and 4-wheel disc . I then asked about the 427 sYc cars to which he said that he knew Jimmy Jacobs of Jacob's Engineering who had a red and black '69 sYc Camaro. Is this car still around? Not that I'm looking, just thought that since Jimmy had died in a plane crash, this guy might be someone to chat with about the car. Going to try to pry more later. ![]()

Either a BS story, or the car he remembers was orange, as red wasn't one of the 6 colors you could get a 69 Yenko SC 427 Camaro.

Hey Joe,
Maybe Don Yenko did a dealer exchange for a Jack Douglass GR Yenko*. |

I seriously doubt that Don Yenko was doing any dealer trading of his Canonsburg Yenkos for red Jack Douglass cars.

Joe,
I seriously doubt it too, but I wasn't being serious. Given all the houpla about JD cars (note the asterisk), and remembering someone talking about a GR one, I was just trying to be funny. |
