Actually the your car is the #12,763rd Corvette built in 1970. The #4 after the "S" is common to all 1970 Corvettes. It doesn't mean there where 400,000 Corvettes built that year. Total production wwas the lowest since 1962 with 17,316 car's being built. Coupes where built almost 2:1 to the convertibles.
