Default Re: Chip Miller of Carlisle Productions passes awa

Wow and just today I opened a Invitation to the Corvette event for Vintage Race corvettes this fall from him and his brother.

Iam sorry that I will not get to meet him in person. I have know who he is for years but never got up that far to get to meet him.

Such a loss. I bet he has had a hell of a good life though.

--------I have known Chip Miller since the very first Carlisle event he and Bill ever had. Some time around 73/74. For me he was simply the nicest guy on earth, and I have known a bunch of nice people. His posative attitude was legendary. Sometimes long periods of time would pass between meetings, but every time we saw each other it was like we hadnt missed a day. Every once in a great while you meet someone who always seems to be on the same page and that is what our relationship was like. I will miss him greatly............Bill S

-------Pantera; Bill was not his brother. They just shared the same last name, and passion!

I am sorry to hear this although I heard that Chip was ill from a friend that attended the NCRS meet in Florida recently. I had visited with Chip in November in person about vintage racing and documenting vintage race cars and at the time, I had no idea he was ill. He looked great.
He put on a seminar about vintage race cars at the Chevyfest in November. I would always see him at Road America and we would visit. This is certainly a loss to the car community.
