Early on ,Motion did mention Phase I,II,III in mag.articles, but like you said Phase I,II never came about

There was also an article on the testing of two PhaseIII '69 vettes, one blue and one yellow.In that article, Motion was offering PhaseIII packages , but in StageI thru StageVI levels of performance. In the end ,it was less confusing , to offer a standard total performance package to a specific engine plant as a point of reference as in PhaseIII 396,PhaseIII 427, PhaseIII L-88 etc. and add on from there.--Joe
