No, the VIN is too early for a Yenko. The Yenko lettering is way wrong too. This guy keeps putting it on Ebay claiming to not really know if it's a Yenko. Terrible fake.

That car has been listed on Ebay several times with no reserve by the same seller. The seller doesn't have a very good reputation, even though he has good feedback. He has several other Ebay user names. The car is listed in Hemmings for $18,000.

yeah, that lettering is really odd, no doubt. he does state that its a 69 chevelle "with" yenko stripes and lettering.

Looks like a fairly nice car either way I suppose...
No real value, but a nice car none-the-less...

yes, i agree, nice car. i tell ya, with the prices of these cars i've also looked into just cloning something, or buying a really nice lookalike. there are some very, very, nice clones out there. my situation is the wife. she TOLD me, one classic car and one classic car only. she's always been the one that looks after our finances, i've tried but couldn't do as good a job as she does, so i'll just have to respect her wishes. at least she's allowing me to follow my dream of having that car that i remember as a boy growing up in the late 60's and early 70's.

That car was locally here in Houston a couple of months back! I e mailed the guy and gave him the SCR Site address and told him that the guys on there could help determine if it was a real Yenko or not.He e mailed me back and stated he did not want to spend any money verifying if it was real or not and that he did in fact believe it to be a real Yenko.I again e mailed and explained that if he would contact you guys, give you all the vin# and trim tag information that you good people could in fact tell him if it was real or not just from that information, and if in fact it was a real Yenko he could make substantially more money than he was asking for the car at the present time.I never heard anything back from that guy and the car sold I guess and now someone in New York owns it.CROOK CROOK CROOK CROOK'S! They should should have MOTOWN spend about 5 minutes alone with them!

Had not thought about that, but the release of the Yenko info ought to take care of a lot of the problems with so called Yenkos on Ebay, and other sites. In about 5 minutes, anyone can now "run a VIN".
