G does equal GREEN, But so does M.

Here is what I think the codes in 69 mean. Remember there were two green interiors used in 1969. What I do not know is if the interior paint was a different shade for each trim style.

G = For use with Medium Green trim
M = for use with Midnight Green trim

The data size is small about 130 cars for 1969 (partial or full entries). It is a shame that most Nova guys do not collect trim tags and VINs like the Camaro guys do. Or at least they do not submit them to the Nova Research Project. I have not really validated the 1, 2, or 3 numbers. I did find exceptions. But most were cars that could have been modified. These were cars I could not look at further. So far everything seems to check out.
