Thanks for the info Dave. I have the S&A W/ Gold anodized bracket with the arrowhead logo.Didn't know if the bracket was tech correct.My Cable has the correct "hand grip" ends as well.Any idea when the tach was first produced?Still looking for a rev limiter,either the 6000-7650 or the 7200-9400.....I've never seen a rear cable S&A. Sounds like a good idea though....

Steve I just found a '62 Hot Rod and the JM tachs are in there-with the jm nameplate

I have an original S&A catalog sheet. They had the rear drive, bottom drive and with/without tattle rev limiter etc. Same tach options that were available from the JM line.

I had an old Jones-Motrola mach tach in one of my cars. It was cool looking but it started at 1000 rpm and had a pin stop. When you rev the motor it would make a clicking noise every time the needle hit the pin stop. The clicking noise was kind of annoying so I took it out. I think a new cable may have fixed it.
