Are the 69 Camaro's with a 661 VIN prefix generally a Canadian car? I have found a 69 X77D80 car 661050, I know Mattisons COPO 661041 was from Canada, being nine numbers away I am wondering if the X77 would have been sold new in Canada. Before spending the $45 I thought I might get opinions here as to if it is likely the X77 was a Canada car. Anyone here have a car within this VIN range that can relay if it was Canadian or not? Body numbers are not even close in relation, Mattisons body# was 351471 and the body# on the X77 is 353575. Both are 06A cars, the X77 is rally green, std black int, no console, center fuel gauge. Anyone have any input on the 661 cars in this grouping?

Matt,
My X11 9561 is a bit further out at VIN 661189 and a bit earlier in order number 351185 (also 06A, but shipped June 24th or so...). Sold in Ohio.

Jeff,
That is interesting as I have the history on the X77 15 years back in Ohio. Also, I dont recall ever seeing a June car that was anything other than A, first week on the tag. Anybody have any clue why that is? Motown ![]()

I learned on this forum about a year ago, that all Camaro´s built in June have the 06A because of some mistake.
My rearend was assembled 0619 so the car must have been built at the very end of the month. The VIN is 661631. ![]()

Seems to be a bit of a COPO grouping in the 661 range. The COPO block that just sold on Ebay was T0528MN with a VIN of 661364.

I know this post is in regards to the 661 VIN series, but thought some might find this interesting. Three Dick Harrell COPO's are in the 663XXX range. They are consecutive body build numbers with 06A X44 tags. I wonder how many 06A COPO's there are?
