Yes, most Motion Vega's were swapped out w/ a narrowed 12-bolt, but not all. In fact, the majority of Motion-converted Vegas had the 12-bolt, 5-lug swap on the rear, but no 5-lug swap done on the front. Brad Fanshaw's Motion Super Vega is one of the few complete 5-lug swaps.

Just my opinion but 4-lug just turns me off, Motion car or not. Think about it:
Five fingers Five toes Five extremities: 2 arms, 2 legs, one head Five lugs It's just the natural tendency! Yeah, I know, 4-lug kept the cost of conversion down but a V-8 Vega with 5-lugs all around looks MUCH better. Yes, I have a lot of time on my hands today... ![]() |

It has a Hurst auto stick shifter. This is same as the Yenko Deuce used. It was a tall bench seat type shifter and Motion put them in Vegas and Camaros. Saw one in a 73 Motion Camaro and it really stuck up high - like in a Rat Fink Cartoon

copo9566aa, you have an awesome magazine collection and have been very generous posting a lot of GREAT articles and photos many of which I have not seen. In the future would you mind posting the source information ie. magazine title and year/month as I would like to find some of these articles for my literature collection and it would sure make the search easier to know where they came from. Thanks again for all the posts.
