Yup the plate looks like a WI one.....the phone number he listed is in Mount Horeb, WI. The the auction location is stated as FL....just some observations.

Both of his Emails come back. So is he referring to 9737 ? That would explain the 140 speedo. Is it a unconverted Yenko ? Is it a Yenko ? I would like to see the vin, trim tag and protecto plate.

Charley, sounds like it is a yenko. He says he has the original hood, two scoops. This also looks very similar to a 68 yenko that stauffer classics had for sale about a year ago. But i do not think there car was mod out like this one. If this car is in wi. i am only 20 min. away. If someone wants to run the plate, i will go knock on there door. Roger

Maybe it has a Yenko door jamb tag.....That would make it simple.

I have talked with Tim about this car and he told me that the car is in Florida in storage. He also indicated that the car was a LA built car. no door tag. Is there something funny about the fender emblems placement?

GEORGE is a personal friend he had someone run the vin #'s and just from that he came back saying the car came from dana.

in saying that should my window sticker state the 427 option like it does

If someone ran the VIN through NICB then yes, it could be confirmed that the car was delivered to Dana Chevrolet. As for the window sticker showing the 427 option, there's no way a factory window sticker would show the 427 option since there was no RPO for it. Therefore I would assume it is probably a Dana created window sticker. If you can post a picture of the window sticker, the trim tag and protect-o-plate, then people will be able to help verify if it is real GM documentation or not.
