Geez, with all these Yenkos for sale, the prices will probably be dropping fast! I'm still surprised to see this many pop up for sale.

Jeff there ARE more Yenkos for sale than lets say a year ago. Notice how they are sitting around longer now a days? Notice the same thing about the COPO's.

[/ QUOTE ] Ya but, other than Tom's car, the prices are not commensurate with the quality of the cars available, IMO. The cars "sitting around" would sell [and DID sell] quickly when they were priced correctly. The lack of cars available beginning about a year ago is what drove the prices up. Then, as usual, more became available. To think that this combination of factors is a predictor of an impending price drop is overly pessimistic. OR, optimistic if you're hoping for values to erode. |

There are a few Yenkos for sale right now but if the quality is not there they will stay for sale. Most people that buy these cars are pretty well informed. For example the Yenko the Lengendary has for sale for 171K looks good in the pics but if you look at it in person it probably needs freshened up which could cost you another 10-20K! and if it does not have all the correct parts that could turn into a real nightmare! Nicely worded Mike. These seem to be the picked over cars that are trying to sell for the picked first price. Again, rare or unique, small #'s available, quality and freshness of resto. i am not referencing the cars at legendary in particular, but, the yellow one sold on ebay for $100k, why? see above explanation.

Jeff,
I know the feeling! Back in the early to mid 80's, I passed on so many collecter 69 Camaro's - SS's, Z28's, RS's, SS/RS's, until I finally found the "69" cars that I was looking for. The prices back then were considered kind of spendy , but compared to the present time, those prices were dirt cheap. Too bad I didn't buy more of them back then. Hindsight is sure wonderful isn't it!!
