Hey thats me!.. I'm the dummy standing behind the Budwiser sign in the gray shirt with a camara to my face. The drag racing was damn awesome! I felt like a baby in a room full of titties.

And how could I forget Shor's '69 Y-Chevelle. Being an A-body man, it was probably my favorite car at the event. Gotta give MAJOR props to a guy that will side step the clutch at 5 grand!

Robert,
I'm glad that the motor is done with just the some tuning left. I hear a rumor that the Studebaker club wants to do a shootout? Boy, I would say they are in for a surprize! Jim

It's no rumor...I think we're supposed to hook up some time Friday in Stanton?
As for a "surprise", yeah, I hated to do it, but we've been trying to get it done for a year or so now, and has been our plan since we swapped engines 2 years ago. They know I've gone 12.7s on the other engine, but I should be able to hang with them on the big end now, as they are in the 110-111 mph range on a good run. |
