So true!
I too see what I was building 20 years ago,and what would win 1st place at Model shows back then, and can't believe the attention to Detail today.
The Human condition has taken this as well as other hobbies way above the next level.
One for our side.

Hi Guys,
In the'60&'70's "Hobby Shops" were a common sight--they would sponser car modeling contests. There are only a few here and there now, and I don't see the modeling contests any longer, at least in brooklyn.I use to enjoy it as a kid ,unfortunately I think my patience and eyesight have gone down a few notches since then. How is it out where you fellas live?

Small hobby shops are still around but few and far between...they went the way of the corner grocery, the corner drug store, the mom &pop tropical fish store,etc....remember when everyone knew your name at these shops ? L78...I wired the Sun tach and EB-9 transmitter too...

Hey Joe...you're older! Everyone had a "Mrs. Cravitz" on their block !! We had a little Italian lady who would run out and take our ball if we hit it on her grass !!! Mrs. Tullo ! Damn she was pretty fast for 300 lbs. !!
