Thanks for clearing up the vin stamp Charley. I may have to bid on this car. I noticed the ad states M21 but also lists the tranny as P9xxx'A' for M20. Which is correct?

That is a really odd stamping. the big "4" is open on the top and I've never seen a GM stamp like that. But both the engine and trans have the same stamp so that indicates they were done with the same setup.

Charley's testimonial is probably the strongest bit of info here, but I do know this car has good, solid local history here in the Seattle area since it was sold new in Kent, WA in 1969. It was known as a JL8 car since before that was such a BIG ($$$) deal. Worst thing you can say about it is the '80s repaint is showing its age-what's there is there and you aren't going to buff it into something better.

Dang it . I missed out on this one. Someone beat me to the Buy It Now price. If I had only known about this sooner I would have done the same thing.

I have seen the same type of stampings from that build period. There were 2 cars from VanNuys, at first I thought Restamp, but I know they were untouched cars. This would be the third such Camaro. The stampings, believe it or not, are legit.
