1968 Camaro Funny Car

Matt; This past Friday I spent the day with the head of one of the vintage funny car associations. I was there gathering information for my FC, but did ask him about your car. He knew the car well, and had several pictures of it. The car was raced by John Carter out of Louisville, KY, with "Honest John" painted on the grille. He went on to say that car was indeed sporting its original paint, but that the chassis had been updated. Thus the later design cage, etc. Neat car and should be a blast to play with. -----Just talked to my buddy from Paducah and he had just been with John last weekend.My buddy remembers the car well.John married the long time girl friend of another friend of mine,apparently.Still runs his business.Ill get his phone number if you want it.............Bill S
