The trim tag had 65-16637 which shows it as an Impala SS with a V8. The TH400 leads me to believe it was a 396/325 hp car though.

65 impala 396 / 425hp were all manual trans engine codes should be IA-IC-IE or IF impala with an 396 with auto/trans were 325 /hp
not to say that some one did not convert it but no factory 396/425 auto/trans |

The 396 did not come out until Feb 15, 1965. Before that you had to live with a 409! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif[/img]
