This one should be familiar. It was hard to get any better pics as it was a crowd favorite.

Jeff,
I did not get a chance to check it. I doubt it was a T-Bolt though. They had most of the really high end cars under a different tent area. It was a neat car though. Mark |

I was working Friday night in Tacoma, WA loading the CSX (SeaLand) Anchorage bound for Alaska.(almost everything shipped to Alaska goes through Tacoma).....anyway amongst the many new cars that I always see there was a car open rack container with two of the Barrett-Jackson cars. One was a 64 Chevelle Dk Blue convertable and the other a "pro-street" (kinda) 72 Red Camaro no reserve car that evidently sold for 13K http://www.barrett-jackson.com/aucti....asp?id=172421
Some of thise non reserve cars dont seem too highly priced , BUT what is the buyers premium on them????

Chuck, the buyers premium is 8%. Don't forget the shipping costs of almost always at least a grand! Last year Russo Steele shipped for free but I didn't hear mention of that this year. Oh by the way Barrett jackson refunds your $300 bidder fee if you buy a car. That helped me justify the purchase to LaDonna!! Jim

I think the no reserve % fee should be 5% instead of 8%. A 2% savings for no reserve isn't that much. If the price to sellers was halved I think it would encourage more no reserve sellers.

Guys I might have missed this in this long thread. I am reading Automobile Magazine April 2003 issue and they have a "On the Block" section that has a couple of Barrett Jackson highlights. They feature a 1969 COPO. Here is the article verbatim.
1969 Chevrolet Camaro. S/N 124379N640481, engine 10423MN. Hugger Orange over black vinal. Central Office Production Order (COPO) installed 427-cubic-inch, 425 horse power V8 four speed. Dog-dish hubcaps, Z28 dual exhaust, 140-mph speedometer, cowl induction hood. Numbers matching, fully documented. restored to a very high standard. Sold at $56,100. At the height of muscle-car madness, COPO Camaros were just about the baddest boys on the block. Only 1,000 were made but since they are so easy to fake, there are probably twice that many replica COPO's running around today. The value with this car was the combination of it's documented heritage and it's high quality restoration. Another $5,000 wouldn't have been suprising. Guys doesn't that sound awfully cheap? I would think that in today's market that a COPO Camaro in that color if in fact it was "restored to a very high standard" and is "documented" would have brought more money. Does anybody have any info on this car? Did any of you see this car at the auction?
