I'll check with the guy doing my JL8 car because he already has the front suspension stuff done and I know he put original style rivets in.

I may have found a source. I will let all know in a few days if they are what we need. I am not sure as to the available quantity as of yet.

Jeff H,
It is not the style which is difficult to obtain, but the correct size. |

It still makes me curious to see which rivets he used. I'm not going to lose sleep over it if he used 5/16 instead 1/4. He is a Corvette restorer that has moved into Camaros, Mustangs, Challengers, etc. so he probably used Corvette rivets.

Does anyone know the specific application break between the 5/16 and the 1/4?

I believe Corvette is the only car that uses 5/16 rivets because they only use three rivets to hold in the upper ball joint. Camaro Chevelle both use 4 rivets so thats why it uses 1/4 in.

Sorry to bring up a post from so long ago, but I,m new around here. If any of you are interested in correct 1/4" rivets for upper ball joints let me know as I buy them by the 1000's. And yes Jeff H your's are 1/4".
