I wish I had gotten their a little earlier (some serious road construction on I-44), and tuned on it a little bit. Nothing major, just jets, timing, and valves! I think I could have improved a little bit on the 12.951, but hey...I'll take it! |

Congrats, Tom and Rob, Getting into the 12's with any stock car is a major deal. To bad you did not get any more run's. Sometimes the old saying is true , new track, new crew, same old Gateway. |

Hey, sixpack...is Wentzville a 1/4 mile track? And, how do the times compare to Gateway? |

rob, Wentzville is a 1/4 mile, It hooks pretty well, I ran 11.53 there in my 69 6barrel Road runner and 11.51 at Gateway under similar condition's. Wentzville run's Saturday and Sunday usually, Sat gates open 8 or 9 am and the run Elim's about 2-3 PM. They have a Street tire and a slick tire trophy class, If I were you I would try one of those, maybe get a few more time runs. Phone is 636-639-6465... Good Luck Larry |

Rob, do you have to run polyglas in this class or could you run a drag radial or a DOT tire like McCreary. This would still be a "street tire" but woul probably improve the time by 1/2 sec. or more. I ran a turbocharged small block Nova that I also drove to work and ran a best of 11.97 @ 119.50 on McCreary's. I am not up on the Street Car requirements. Congratulations on the 12 sec run on these tires!!! |

Larry: Thanks for the info! I probably won't get there this weekend, but may try it next week. What kind of turnout do they get? I can handle the wait, but the crowd at Gateway was almost silly. Nope on the tires. You've either got to run the repros (Polyglass, Wide Ovals, redlines, etc.) or a "normal" radial tire. No wanna be slicks (Nittos, ETs, BFG DRs, etc.) are allowed, and they will durometer tires. |

Rob They get quite a few cars but they run through them a lot quicker than Gateway does. Let me know when you go , If ATT doesn't need me to waste my time here, I'd like to meet you guys. I would like to get a few more run's in one of my car's before the year end's myself Larry |

Larry: I'm looking hard at next weekend, but I've got to get to west Texas some time this week, so a lot depends on that. I will definetly let you know if I head up there. But, looking at the weather this evening, it looks like it's going to be pretty cool starting around Thursday...like 50's for highs. |
