In the transmission picture, you can see the Flat Silver spray paint running parallel to the pad. Even a novice, such as myself, could identify this botched job.
Coincidentally, if you look towards the bottom of the die-cast numbers (transmission), there is a discoloration where the Detectives removed a swatch for their report.
