| December '00 Feature Car

Lamar Walden in addition to being the original owner of the December feature car, also was the first owner of the #51 ZL-1 which is also white w/blue and was delieverd through Brooks Chevrolet. The story is Lamar received both cars compliments of Vince Piggins. |

COPO - From what I read, the #3 ZL1 and the #51 ZL1 were the only 2 cars out of the first 53 ZL1's that did not originaly go to Fred Gibb. Was the #51 ZL1 used as a race car? If so, do you know the name and colors that were on the car while it was raced? |

Joe C, you're right, the #3 car that Charley owns went to Berger Chevrolet. I do know Lamar Wladen raced the #51 car, #65 and the December feature car. The #65 car is still in the Atlanta area and #51 is owned by Reggie Jackson. If I get a chance over the holidays, I'll go by Lamar Walden's shop and ask him about some of the history of the cars. |

Besides being a neat car; its great because Charley Lillard doesn't need to get a color monitor this month, to tell what color it is. |

Here's a link to the L72 COPO that was campaigned by Lamar Walden. This dealer had it for sale for quite awhile. Apparently it has been sold. http://www.classiccorvettes.com/view...image=Exterior |
