Default Legendary Interior

Has anyone and fit problems specifically 69 camaro rear seat back rest. My car had 20 yr old PUI covers looking a little faded ,but fit good. I ordered a Legendary set. The back rest cover doesn't fit right. I spend 2 days. I had to remove padding to get it on. I can put the old cover over their cover with room. Not a convert. cover. I decided its not me. I called their tech line on Monday, talked to Ron. He said send me some pictures. I did , no call back or text. Today I called he said let look at them , cover looks good to him. I said it doesn't fit. He replied our covers are made to factory specs. Offered no relief.

I'm a small time, lower cost LEGENDARY Dealer.........I carry zero Clout with Legendary. I did write Ron and suggest that Legendary get involved with helping determine why you are having this problem.....

I specialize in 70-73 2nd Gen Camaros and have sold many seat cover sets, without any issue......

I can only hope that Legendary helps you solve where the problem lies.......as apparently something is "wrong".............

No, Ive not sold a 69 Camaro rear seat cover from LEGENDARY, so cant comment on install problems.........

Speaking of 69' Camaro back seats, I have the 56 year old #27 ZL1 Camaro rear seat that was removed from the race car before I bought the car.....I did get several boxes of take off
OEM parts but today only have the rear seat parts (2) and the front sway bar.....

Any thoughts on value for someone needing the entire frame and cover assy ???

I'm not sure on prices. I think someone with a survivor car would be interested .

I am surprised that Ron had no other alternative suggestions. He has always been a problem solver when I needed help. Maybe he hasn't come across this problem before. If your purchase is within the time frame, I am sure you can send the cover back for him to inspect it.

I am not speaking poorly of Legendary as we have done business for over 20 years and they are the only (Chevelle) covers and door panels I have used in that time period. All in all it has been a very good experience. However and mainly from 2020-2023, their quality slipped dramatically and I had many issues with their covers during that time period. None like what you described but I did have issues with the top of the rear seat having a flat contour as well as front and rear seats with the pleating not lining up from the bottom panels to the top panels. Repeated calls were responded with, they had not heard of this issue and it was likely installation. After many days of refitting and then doing research I found that I in fact was NOT the first to complain. Only after threats of me going on public forums did they admit wrongdoing and took care of the product though I was out thousands of dollars in labor which did not sit well with me since they knew it all along. My point being, do not give up, do some research like you are on more public forums and see if anyone else is having the same problem.

I know most warranties do not cover labor and I accept that but if I call you with a known manufacturing defect, let me know so I can stop wasting my time and get new replacement and correct pieces. Don't make me work for days wasting my money and time before finally admitting the issues. LAI is a good company and in order to remain that way they need to accept responsibility to their defects and move on. I will never fault a company for making a mistake as long as they take care of it in a timely manner.

You’re not alone. fit issues with Legendary rears do pop up. If your old PUI fits over it, sounds like a pattern/padding mismatch, not you

Thanks to Chuck and anyone who helped. When I got to work this morning there was a email from Ron wanting to help . I agreed to return the seat back so he could see if there was a mistake in manufacturing.
