Default Q

I've been interested in this post, as I have a '67 SS/RS L78 project I am preparing to restore. I pulled these 2 photos of L78 blocks from my files. I have always been interested in the L78 history for the 1967 Camaro, and finally own one after owning several '67 Z28's.

The first is for the Pace Car Charlie used to own. It's not very clear, but you can make out the MY code at the end of the engine hp code stamping. I believe the VIN is 7N183613. Also note the engineering number 98168-A. The picture came from the Mecum 2022 auction presentation.

The second is a block that was on a site somewhere on the web, I can not remember, but it is a VIN 5,000 from the original poster's car, which is the 2nd L78 ordered. The VIN is 7N193075. It looks like an original stamp, as you can see a ghost of the 0,M and Q. This may be from either Grumpy's L78 or one of the other Pace Cars? I have Grumpy's VIN somewhere in my files but can't locate it at this time but will keep searching.

I know there is another post in the General Discussion forum regarding the build of the 1st 1967 L78's but thought this would be the more informative location to post these pictures, as there is more information in this post for those inquiring about the earliest L78 1967 Camaros.
