PLEASE CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS.** “Timeless, Gorgeous, Sleeper, User-Friendly, are some of the words I'd use to describe this very special 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Coupe. The “Tri-Five” Chevrolet models are iconic and highly collectable classic cars. This example left the factory with an Adobe Beige and Sierra Gold exterior, Tan and Copper interior and a 265 Turbo-Fire V8. It was restored to show quality standards and refinished in its original color combination. However, under the hood the engine was upgraded with a dual-quad 350 V8 with 300 horsepower. Some other upgrades include radial tires, modern sound system, dual exhaust system and Turbo 350 automatic transmission. This car was designed to appear similar to how it would've been at the factory in 1956. It's the perfect car for someone who wants the original styling with modern touches. Don't sleep on this sleeper!” – Marc Schiliro This dapper 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Coupe has been restored to show quality standards in its original color combination and is powered by a dual-quad 350 V8 with 300 horsepower. Some other upgrades include radial tires, modern sound system, dual exhaust system and Turbo 350 automatic transmission. This car was designed to appear similar to how it would've been at the factory. The 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air is a key part of the “Tri-Five” series (1955-1957). This classic American car is known for its refined and updated styling including a full-width grille along with “speedline” chrome trim. It featured a 235ci inline-six or 265ci V8. The standard dual-quad 265 V8 produced 225 horsepower. A higher-performance version with solid lifters and a special cam was also available producing 240-245 horsepower. As the original VIN tag indicates this example was built in Baltimore, Maryland as a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air with a V8 engine. As the original Trim tag indicates it had an Adobe Beige and Sierra Gold exterior with a Tan and Copper interior. This car was the product of a show quality frame-off restoration which was completed in the early 1990's. It was an AACA Senior National First Prize Winner in 1992. It was also judged at the AACA National Meet in Hershey, PA in 1994. The grille award and judging cards are included. The car was treated with white gloves by its caretaker and still appears like a fresh restoration. It was sold in 2019 to automobile enthusiast Robert Dovner who lives in Middleboro, Massachusetts. Bob enjoyed showing the car with his wife at local cruse-ins and car shows. Bob fell in love with a 1934 Ford 3-Window Custom Coupe that was offered from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection. Bob purchased the 1934 Ford and traded in his 1956 Bel Air in November of 2025. The team at MS CLASSIC CARS had a vision of taking this beautiful car to the next level by making some upgrades while keeping the factory appearance. Some of the upgrades included adding radial tires, a modern stereo, dual-quad powered 350 V8 crate engine and Turbo 350 automatic transmission. MS CLASSIC CARS invested a total of 21,862.11 in service which is documented with an invoice that's included. February of 2026 is the first time MS CLASSIC CARS has listed the vehicle for sale. Dare to compare anything in this price range! The exterior of this '56 Bel Air is very attractive with its iconic factory design and beautiful color combination. The body is very straight throughout. The engine was painted in the correct shade of red for a 1956 and dressed with 350 Turbo-Fire valve covers with a PCV system. The engine was outfitted with correct dual-quad Carter WCFB carburetors with a black Batwing air cleaner. Some of the parts include a Carter fuel pump, AC fuel filter, Pertronix electronic ignition system and Delco Remy 12-volt generator. Everything was done to appear like the factory installed it including the Delco Battery with yellow caps. The engine is cooled by the correct style black radiator, hose and clamps. The engine is coupled to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission that was recently rebuilt by George's Automotive Repair. It was setup with a Hughes 2500 stall converter and new driveshaft. The engine, transmission, drive shaft and all related service work was completed by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The undercarriage of this '56 Bel Air is very clean throughout. The floors were refinished in satin black. The chassis was stripped, prepped and also refinished in satin black. The undercarriage was lightly restored by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS while the drivetrain was being replaced. The fuel system was replaced new including the fuel lines and fuel tank.
