Default 1972 Corvette

Beautiful ‘72 Corvette LT1 on BaT.

The leather interior is ridiculous. Looks like milk chocolate.

What’s up with the headlamps ?

On a car of this pedigree and awards what happened here.

I thought this car should have all four T-3 lamps with the vertical lines in the triangle.

I noticed that also. Why wouldn’t a high end Vette like this have correct T3 lamps in it.
Hmm 🤔.

The studio shots drive me crazy. Sure, a few are nice. But some of these "power sellers" on BaT rely on lights and camera technique to display their cars. Maybe it's just me, but I can't buy a car that way.

My cousin had a white 72 big block, 4 speed with side pipes. One day he forgot to leave it in gear and set the parking brake. His pants got caught in the side pipe cover, the car rolled away as he was getting out and ran over his leg. The running joke at thanksgiving was the story of how the car tried to kill him.

My guess on the headlights is that they were removed to preserve them. They are a very rare headlight.

1972s were one year only, I believe. I still have a pair I bought years ago at the NCRS winter meet when it was setup in the Old Town Amusement Park in Kissimmee. I can't remember if they are hi or low beam. They've been stored away in a cabinet for years.
