What a cool piece! Keep the Big Dome TRWs in it! Like others said, you'll want a tight quench... It acutally helps reduce pinging or knocking. That said I just built my 73 LS6 with a measured 10.3:1 compression, 28cc dome pistons, and a very tight quench area with aluminum 074 heads and it actually runs ok on CA pump gas. That is how we ran it on the dyno. I still splashed 5 gallons of 110 in the tank since street driving creates more heat than a dyno cell. These old school motors run hard!!! Saturday Night Special indeed. Get ready for ZERO traction with any type of street tire you can fit on there.
