I’m looking for authentic GM assembly‑line or early-service spark plug wire heat shields and hardware for a 1968 Camaro SS‑350 (L48). These are the small‑block stamped/galvanized steel shields used on the driver and passenger sides.
Parts Needed Heat Shields * GM 3845621 – RH (passenger side) spark plug wire heat shield * GM 3845622 – LH (driver side) spark plug wire heat shield Requirements: * Original GM only (no reproductions) * Correct galvanized finish, stamping details, and geometry * Light patina acceptable; no heavy pitting or structural damage Mounting Hardware * GM 447143 – Correct small-block heat shield bolt * GM 274430 – Alternate/crossover bolt used on some service replacements Preferred Hardware:I am specifically seeking original GM RBW or TR head‑marked bolts, black‑phosphate finish, no washers, no captured washers, and no bright zinc hardware.GM service‑replacement M‑head bolts are acceptable as a secondary option, but RBW and TR are preferred for assembly‑line accuracy. If you have RBW or TR bolts—or complete shield/bolt sets—please contact me with photos of the bolt heads and finish. Why I need them These parts are for a documented 1968 SS‑350 survivor restoration, and will be archived in a judging‑grade binder. Accuracy matters—NOS or clean originals are ideal. What I Can Offer * Fair market pricing * Immediate payment * Happy to buy single pieces or complete sets If you have these parts—or leads on trustworthy sellers—please message me. Photos of stamping, finish, and bolt head markings appreciated. Last edited by MartyW; 02-16-2026 at 01:10 AM. |
