Seems like I have seen this both ways on original cars. Charley just acquired a 9300 mile time capsule, early LOS built Z. Would be interested to see a pic of them. Just went downstairs and checked my car, which I have owned for 51 years. They have captured washers on all four. I am 99% certain that is what I took off; but there is no way to know whether a PO swapped them when putting shocks on it early on.
