----At the moment we don't even know which horsepower this 68 is (390, 400, 435). It certainly isn't an L88 or ZL1....Bill S

My high school science teacher had a Black 69 vette with a silver nose stripe like the one in this picture. I asked him if it was an L88 but he would not answer any of my questions trying to find out what engine was in the car. He just smirked and I never got an answer. This was in 1982 in Rhode Island just outside of providence.

OP says it's an L71. Would that be 435 hp?
