That tan vinyl top kills the curb appeal more than anything in my opinion.
This is by far the worst color combination available on a 1970 Chevelle. |

^ wholeheartedly agree with you!
However, sometimes that's what you wanted for a street sweeper... |

I'm late to the party on this car, but looking at the BAT description and the pictures of the build sheet, I have Spidey sense tingles going off about whether it's a legit LS6. But hey, what do I know.....if it is, then congrats to the BAT buyer and best of luck flipping it.

Since a 4 speed LS6 Chevelle is a bucket list car for me, I don't know that I'd care about the color. At least you know you wouldn't likely be parked to another 70 Chevelle just like it at the show. |

I like dark vinyl tops on light colored cars. Gobi Beige with tan vinyl top is a combination I've always hated since the first time I saw one. |

I think this is one car where everyone would vote for a black top swap.

Obviously, I'm in the minority here as I don't mind the color, but I'm a different guy and actually like the different colors that you don't see these days. I wouldn't have ordered that color combo, but in this day you never see that beige so I kind of dig it.

I think this car fits what I call unique but then there is the aspect of desirable. It cant be easy to break loose with $100K on something like this when you can wonder what if something in a better color comes along, and your money is tied up in this.
I know nothing about LS6s, but to me all you are getting is apparently a real one, a repaint, one that is bored out with no more room to go. Motor is a roller motor vs solid lifter, just would not be for me for $100K ish. All my cars, my wife thinks are cool, this one she would say what is wrong with you! The interior reminds me of a nice caprice back in 70. bring a trailer I believe got the max price right. (had to edit my post: my wife does not like the close to mopar factory plum crazy purple 69 eldorado project I have that has its rare few made color that GM made. says its a pimp mobile color, yet its factory GM for cadillac only. that one we will disagree on . She is making me sell it unfortunately.....it will hurt letting that go... it would go so well with my other cars with cool paint choices.... so sad
