I totally agree with Steve. Plus, the only known dates I have for November of 1968 are 8L2, 8L9, 8L23, 8L27, and 8L30.

Can the ROLL Stamp be shown, so us amatuers know what to look for ???

Go in your garage and take a picture of one of your alternators and post. You will see typical roll stamp features.

With the roll stamp usually the ending stamps are not as deep as the beginning stamps.
