A 1969 Camaro Z10 for sale on BAT, the window sticker has a PO Box for the shipping address. Is this real? how can GM ship to a PO Box?

Yes,Monroney labels were sent to the dealerships separately, then the dealership applied the window sticker to the vehicle before selling it.So a PO Box could accompany that.
It was Illegal for a dealership to sell a vehicle before the Monroney label was applied. GM applied a different smaller label to the window of the vehicle alerting them of this. My 1970 Chevelle still has the one it was delivered with before the Monroney label was applied. |

I’am confused. Since the Car Shipper is a carbon copy of the window sticker, the shipping address of the car is a PO Box. Is this a real window sticker?

These were on the early built cars in the same place the window sticker would be that were delivered to the dealer before announcement date.

Agreed, WS is legit, it was in Crispino's Pace Car book, published in 92.
They don't say if the car has been repainted, but it looks pretty original....

From the seller in the comments section on Nov 11 at 12:21 pm.
Doc "I would like to tell the potential buyer that the paint is 90% original to this car , I know this because I paint metered it before I bought it , it did show some repaint on the passenger side quarter where the fins are but absolutely no body repair" |

Showed these to "Mr. Ed" Schoenthaler~Brigance/Fencl-Tufo/Crossroads IL. Chevrolet Dealer,Ed James~BolingBrook IL. Chevrolet Dealer,Dick Hoskins~Elk Grove Village Il. Chevrolet Dealer and Ed Fanning~Aurora IL.Chevrolet Dealer, decades ago. All 4 men confirmed what they were,as the vehicles arrived first and their Monroney labels shipped separately & followed them later on. Last edited by Mr70; 11-14-2025 at 03:54 PM. |
