That is your call. I've seen the dealer emblem, to the left of the Z28 emblem. I remember seeing some mounted on the spoiler too. Depended on the dealership.
Nobody at MCACN will know the difference. Mount is where you "feel comfortable".
I do remember that Gorries (affiliate dealership) they were mounted on the tail panel to the left of the Z28 emblem...

As I recall, the emblems were typically to the left of center, that is, the driver's side of the car on the rear panels...

Interesting that your restored emblem is filled in behind "Toronto".

Looks great Jim! Yay!

Thanks, Anthony!

I didn't have the heart to cut the studs off the emblem I got from you or drill holes in the tail pan. Also, on the emblem I got from Paul, the solid rectangular area under the "Toronto" lettering provides more surface area for the 3M adhesive.

Be assured I will keep the emblem I got from you safely put away with the key fob from Bruce and the various documentation I have been lucky enough to receive about this car.

Jim

Paul, I just remembered I'm still looking for an original or NOS R79 Delco Side Mount Battery. Yes, a true unicorn but there has to be one out there. If you happen to have one of these out in the shop, please give me a call.

Working or not. I still have time to gut one that's not working and install an XS Power AGM Battery inside.

Here's the link to my previous post with pics looking for one of these. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=183694

Thanks!

Jim

Hello Jim,

Below are a few pics of the COPO I restored from Central Chev Olds here in London Ontario.

This is the correct placement for their dealer emblem on a 1969 Camaro. Not too sure if this will help you?

Hello Jim,

Unfortunately I do not have a side post battery but I will make a call or two for you?

Paul,

It's beautiful!

Everyone loves a Hugger Orange COPO, including the original owner of my car, Tom Hurst. In fact, before he ended up buying my blue car, he put in an order for a Hugger Orange (Paint Code 72) COPO from Don Howson Chevrolet in Willowdale. I don't know the exact circumstances about why Hurst never took delivery of the Hugger car but he may have seen the classified ad that Gorries Golden Mile placed in The Toronto Star three days before he bought the blue one - the ad that Pete posted above in this thread.

I will definitely put the Golden Mile emblem on the left side. Yours looks great!

A few questions about your car, Paul.

- Is that a Canadian oil change sticker on the right side inner fender, and do you have it placed so that you can read it looking over the right side fender?

- Did you put a 180 thermostat/antifreeze decal on the left side of the core support?

- Do you know if your car was imported with a Canada Transport decal on the inner driver's door?

- Is the blue colored rear license plate a dealer plate? The one on the front of my car appears to be authentic and it matches the plate number on the Used Vehicle Information Package documenting the sale from Hurst to the second owner, Peter Janda, but as you can see from the photos above, my plate is white. Were the vanity plates white? Maybe a post 1969 issue?

Please bear with me on all the questions - it's crunch time, and the plan is to try to get everything done by tomorrow night.

Thanks again, Paul!

Thanks, Paul. Much appreciated!

Regarding the 180 thermostat/antifreeze decal I meant to say the right/passenger's side of the core support.

Default Sticker

I’m not sure if this sticker was used by BOP only, or also by Chevrolet?
