My friend and I had a great day trip. 3.5 hours from Seattle to Salem, 4.5 hours back. The show itself was well organized, as alluded to above. Parking and logistics were a breeze. The collection is overwhelming. It’s kind of like an automotive Versailles, just so much that you get a little numb. The Shelby Cobra display was awesome and well done with storyboards and easy identification signs on each car. I expected the Corvette display but was surprised by the line of six L88’s. I was expecting the line of half the Trans Am ragtop population, but it’s still staggering to see. The lines of Hemi cars with Hemi E Body ragtops on tilted pedestals were impressive as well. I recognized many significant cars that I’ve tracked in the past, and as a Hipo Ford fan, the row of R code Galaxies and Fairlanes was quite a thing to see. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen pairs of ‘65, ‘66, and ‘67 R code Galaxies in the same place before.

An homage to Chrysler quality control? G60-15 back and F60-15 front on the passenger side, G60-15 front and F60-15 back on the driver’s side, lol.

Though I’m a Shelby Cobra and Mustang nerd, a big block FE Ford fan, and a Pontiac GTO/Trans Am enthusiast, the one car that just tickled me when I saw it was this Mauve Hemi ‘66 Belvedere convertible. My pick of the show . Last edited by tom406; 08-19-2025 at 03:46 AM. |

The white 1967 Camaro Z/28 was sold new at Holz Chevrolet here in WI. Restored in the late '80s by the team at CPX when Doug Martz owned it. Has an odd option, Tri-volume horns,

Held up ok for 34 years. Same as ZL-1 #4; also done in lacquer. Dennis Albaugh had it re-done it a few years ago.

Great to hear you enjoyed the signage. I had the honor of writing those for The Brothers several years ago, and really enjoyed doing it. (over 300 of them!) Was great catching up with some of you! Bashton |
