My Jani grew up as a SoCal surfer girl and still refers to them as "My Beach Boys"

RIP Brian

How the heck did you convince a surfer girl to move to boring, central Iowa...

To hear Jani tell it her world came to an end at age 18 when her family moved home to NE IA. She still loves old Ford woody surfer wagons.

Speaking of woody surfer wagons …..

I’m sure Brian Wilson would appreciate all the woody wagons on the Santa Cruz pier.

And I’m pretty sure Jani would dig this highly patina 1940 Ford woody surfer wagon.

Just showed Jani these pix, boy did they stir up memories for her! Said in the mid-late '60s woodies like this were everywhere on the beach at Newport and Laguna.

She also related memories of taking the bus to see The Beach Boys at De Anza Theater in Riverside in 1965.

Thanks for posting Chris!!
