Default Core Support Top Rail Dimples

Related to the core support - the top rail of the core support has periodic dimples in it, to accommodate for the drilling of holes for the clips for the option of the AC rubber strip - that is mounted to the top of the core support rail.

Any idea during the 67-69 production years/months when the dimples were molded into the core support top rail?

Appreciate the insight into this.

Working on a 68 L78, 03B car - would like to be correct on this.

Could not find anything on the CRG about this .....

Paul, absolutely - i have the dimples in my core support - but someone questioned weather that was correct for early 68 car.......its an ac related need, so i assume all assembly line core supports had the dimples.

thank you

My LA built 68 Z/28 has all original sheet metal & doesn't have dimples. It's an 02E car built on 3/13/1968. I'm pretty sure dimples didn't get used until 1969, but I'll keep watching here....Joe
