Default Scrub your Fuel Pump Stash!

I need an original dated ‘67/68 AC Delco fuel pump for a high horse BBC (solid lifters) to include: L78/89, L71, L72, L88. Good complete core desired as it will be sent out for cosmetic and mechanical rebuild.

Thanks for the ad!

1967 & 1968 took different pumps. I show a 40470 used on a 375hp with a date code of CG. Then I show 40568 used starting at least HG....Joe

Eddie. Yes, the original pumps from this era should have an AC Delco part number preceded by a date code on a flange. I didn’t post specific numbers as there are different opinions as to what the application is and when it was introduced and discontinued.

Thanks for chiming in Joe. Darrell Cook’s (quite original) ‘68 03D L78 had an AH (Aug….oops WRONG - that is January ‘68) 40568 as he posted on CRG a few yrs back.

I bought this one from Jim Stubbins back around 96 or 97 as a NOS unit for a 67 Camaro L78. I’m not saying it’s correct but it worked fine.
