You know, it's crazy these times we live in. I've had a few people interested, like hot texting me and requesting pictures and videos, and then poof! They're gone. Same as a trailer I was selling that was a very nice 18 footer that needed tires and new wiring and everyone in the world wants it, but for half of what I was selling it for. Finally let that go today at just a little more than half I started at. The world is whacked.

So, I think I may put it up on BAT as they got back to me with a reserve offer that I'm not thrilled about, but I think I can live with. Sigh.

Counter the offer with something that you feel is more fair to you and see what happens. They made contact and offered a reserve, stretch it a little.

Sadly, that's most people these days. The nature of text and email is that people like to waste your time then vanish, and think nothing of it. Wish I could be that way sometimes...

Thanks again everyone. Well, I thought it was sold as the first guy who came to look at it said he wanted it but had to sleep on it. Pfffft, yeah, that never works out.

Guy who comes to see a $35K car and then needs to "sleep on it" also has a $20 discretionary spend limit at Target and has to show his wife the receipt when he gets home.

I have always had success negotiating reserves with BaT. Slow play them awhile, then come back with a counter, they will negotiate. It's a unique car and the commentary will help the sale greatly on a car such as this. Nostalgia is a powerhouse influence on BaT (has anyone seen my Jeep?), and guys like us will be engaged in the thread. I don't see any way this car would pull less than low $30K range on BaT. |

Well, it took a couple weeks, but I finally have a pending deal on the Camaro. Dropped the price a little, but I think it's a fair deal. Buyer put a deposit on it and is supposed to come next week. I appreciate all of the nice comments from some of the savviest people in the hobby, so thanks again and cheers.
