For a Feb & Mar car the 862 horn relay had black plastic just like the 890's. Most likely a transition thing. My black 3B Z had a 862 with black base and have seen a few others.

Seems the January - March production period saw more than its share of transition parts, here is the original 862 relay from my 2B Norwood RS/Z, it has a clear base. The car was also equipped with a shorty spoiler and stainless trimmed front turn signal lenses.

My 3B Z28 also had a short spoiler.

A shorty on a 3B is late, I thought John H's (JohnZ) 2D Norwood Z with a shorty was late.

When I restored my car I put the long one on . I was in a discussion about the spoiler transition on CRG years ago and believe there were a few other 3B car built with short ones, but don't believe any after that.
