I believe there were certain dates that are known for the BE rear ends. Does the date on this one line up with the known dates?

Looks like a "BL" stamped over to look like a "BE"

From my experience ( which is limited) . Some original BE rears actually look like BL rears that have been restamped.
Some here have better idea of known dates. If it is a known date, thst would help, but without real good documentation or history or correct internals, tough to document 100%. If real, probably a fair price for someone that needs it. But will probably cost another 5k to restore correctly. |
