The second owner, “Bucky” told me he rear ended a girl in a Mustang with it in the early 70’s and put the glass doghouse on it at that time. He was alway hacking it up, said his dad blew his stack when Bucky cut up the console so a super shifter would fit. Lots of stories from him which are great. I can’t wait to reunite him with the car this summer.

That was after some disassembly when it was heading to the chassis shop to get new rear frame rails and trunk floor. It had been modified with narrow 2x3 square tube rails. Then that effort failed miserably with respect to dimensions (the rails were 2-3/8" too close together and all the gaps were finger painted with seam sealer) and I took it back from the body shop and started over. After the new floors, rails and quarters were installed on a proper frame jig by Jube Mayes at The Installation Center in Georgia, all I've subbed out is the brake calipers and master/booster restorations, boring and balancing the shortblock and some minor head porting.
