I know SamLBI received an insurance payout for the missing car. Our sponsor MK insurance / American Modern took care of SAM, and they were pursuing it further with restorer.

Sadly, he has always been this way. My 72 T/A spent 4 years in body shop prison at his shop. That was the main reason I refused to get any other projects painted for years after that. Life is too short for that kind of stress.

https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=79126

P.S. I just found these photos in my archives. I don't know if it's SamLBI's lost Z/28 body sideways on a stand in the corner. Or it could be Jeff H's JL8? The date of these photos files was 01/14/2008 but that could be when I resaved them. (I saw in his post some photos dated 2005)

Is SamLBI still around? He hasn't posted since 8/6/2022. He mentioned having health problems in his post about the car. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=178257 I'd be happy to send him whatever photos I have or forward them to whomever was investigating the case.

What's the rest of the story on Sam's missing car?... Can't believe I missed that thread.

I have to say this is concerning to say the least... GAH!

I have him as a friend on my car-parts FB profile even...
He has his own group on FB where he sells many of his parts:

I have to say I've never done business with this gentleman but based on the several posts on this forum over the years about him, no thanks. I do occasionally use his FB posts to ID some of the bagged fasteners I got with my car.

Rich and I spoke at the time and we mutually agreed he should no longer be a member. He was asked to provide his side and has chosen not and has moved on.
