I'm curious where this one ends up at the end of the auction. I bought a '68 427 4-speed tri-power car a couple of months ago. Always admired them and finally pulled the trigger on one. It seems you can still get a lot of car for your money with the '68-'72's.

The 68s get a bad rap, have some quirks, but was a radical new body style coming off the C2

I would take a '68 any day. By the gaps and mis-alignment of the hood to fenders and surround, as well as the head light doors, seems this one may have been smacked around in the past.

Didn’t the windshield crack on most 68’s after some miles.

1968 Convertibles had lots of flex; I have never heard of windshield cracks. I've had my share of '68's and I do like them.

Thanks Tim, I’m trying to learn more about Vettes. Remember reading about a certain year of C3 that it was common for the windshield to crack or maybe they said a discoloration spot to be in them. Been awhile back when I saw that.

Thanks,

----I bought a brand new 75 L82 4-speed, loaded roadster from Jack Douglas Chevrolet and on my trip driving it home to Cape Cod a crack started at the bottom and worked its way all the way up the windshield. Got it fixed under warrantee, and the paint job was so bad I got the whole car painted under the warrantee as well....Bill S
