The tops of the pistons appear to be 10.25:1…..and the timing cover tab is for a low horse.

Looking at the green "carpet" in the pedal pic, it is a rust bucket. Initial pics of it sitting on the ground aren't encouraging for frame survival.

Okay, so I went and put hands on the car this morning...driver's door is frozen (rusted?) shut so could not see VIN tag. here's a pic of the engine pad. Appears to be a '66 396/325 and the VIN looks to be from a Wilmington, DE built car....so no bueno on being original engine and therefore no way to determine if a factory L78 car. To say this car is rusty is an understatement. I didn't dig any further than the engine stamp pad because I'm not sure if my tetanus shot is up to date.

As we expected it to be and the build date on the TT already removed any question of it being an L78 car.
Be interesting to see if he alters his ad...
