Default Plexiglass Grump Lump/Mailbox Scoop

Longshot
But if someone on here has one of the old plexiglass grump lump scoops manufactured in the 70’s, any color, any condition. I’m an interested buyer.

I know a couple of companies have talked about making new ones, and if I strike out on an original I’ll reach out to them. But for now I’ll try to find an old one.

Pictures were stolen from other threads on here about them. I’d love the green one posted, but as said earlier, any color would be acceptable. Don’t care if it’s cracked or damaged, as long as it’s all(or mostly) there.

Reach out by PM or you can call 7328037692 if you have one. My name is Marty. I try to pick up non scam calls, but just leave a message if you do call and I’ll get back to you.

Thanks.

I have searched for years for one of these. We actually looked into try to make some. Never had any luck finding a company to build them.
Hopefully your search goes better than mine did.

Any idea who you sold them to? That green NOS one would be badass.

Editing to add: That blue Camaro is SOO COOL

Different style scoop, but this guy just started reproducing clear/colored acrylic scoops.
He might be willing to expand into another style once he gets this one perfected.

Alright. Picked up an old fiberglass grump lump. But would still love to find, and am willing to pay for an original plexiglass grump lump or mailbox scoop.

I bought a nos green one off of Tim Lapota back in late 90's. Sold it on ebay or here can't remember in the early 2000's. You may have been the buyer.

Those were made by Northeast Performance in the early to mid 70's.

Never liked how the front part was sunken in but that is how they came.

I found a local vacuum company who could do the 1/4 inch plexiglass but they wanted a 2500 minimum run and wanted $150 each and a $5000.00 set up fee because they would have to shut doan a line and attach new tooling.
They did parts for aircraft and ships in the tens of thosands .

Man that’s a lot of hood scoops lol.
Maybe I get lucky and 1 pops up in the future. This Vette has a bubbled looking one I haven’t seen before.
